History & Beliefs

History

Vineyard Life Church was born out of a vision to establish an outwardly focused church on the west side of Indianapolis that would serve our community and love them into relationship with Christ.

On Easter Sunday, 2006, the church began in the Wayne Township Banquet Center just a block south of where we meet today. 120 people attended the first service and soon returned with more of their friends. As we outgrew our space, we found an older Lutheran church building available on West 10th Street near Raceway Rd. This building served our need for four years, but we then began to look for a larger facility that would  accommodate the growing number of people coming to three services. We kept this building and used it as our Life Family Center to host our various ministries and events. In 2019 we were able to bless a local church with the full use and purchase of the building.

Our current building at 612 N. High School Rd. was purchased and renovated in 2015. New buildings are nice, but we discovered that by renovating older buildings we can invest more in outreach, missions, and staff. We believe our present facilities will accommodate our needs long into the future with more campuses being launched in and around Indianapolis.

In 2016, we adopted New Day Church in Brownsburg and they took on the name Vineyard Life Church Brownsburg.  Both campuses carry the same vision and values. In January of 2019 we released our Brownsburg campus to become Brownsburg Vineyard Church, now a fully independent Vineyard church.
